Title: Plantation Monitoring System via Deep Reinforcement Learning
Abstract:
The world's food needs are urgent for achieving sustainable development goals. To achieve this, many smart agriculture technologies, monitoring systems, and precision agriculture have been developed. In this study, a plantation monitoring system was developed that integrates wireless sensor networks (WSNs) technology as real-time data monitoring with deep reinforcement learning (DRL) models as a perception system for real-time data whether the plantation environment is in a "stable" or "stable" condition. not-stable”. Input parameters consist of soil moisture, humidity level, and temperature level. Testing was carried out in two stages. The first was to test how accurate the WSNs system reading data to the real data compared with measurement tools. The second test is to measure the quality of the DRL model through 25 test scenarios with random parameters. The results of 25 test scenarios produce an accuracy percentage of 96%.

Biography:
Wen-Tsai Sung (Member, IEEE) received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Central University, Taoyuan City, Taiwan, in 2000 and 2007, respectively. He is working with the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Chin-Yi University of Technology, Taichung, Taiwan, as a Distinguished Professor. Dr. Sung has won the 2009 JMBE(Journal of Medical and Biological Engineering; SCIE index) Best Annual Excellent Paper Award(Ph.D. Dissertation) and the Dragon Thesis Award (Master Thesis)that sponsor is Acer Foundation. In October 2023, Dr. Sung was recognized as one of the world's top 2% scientists (Career Impact) (2001-2023) by Mendeley Data, a company owned by Elsevier. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed journal papers and articles index by SCI/SCIE/EI. His research interests include AIOT (artificial intelligence Internet of Things), Intelligent Computingand Systems,and wireless sensors network.
